Titus County Marriages Before 1900

Can anyone tell me how far back do the marriages for Titus County go? I am looking for two or three marriages for the family name Stanley there in Titus County before 1900 and have been told by way of the grapevine that marriages for Titus County only go as far back as 1900. Is this true? My great grandfather William George Stanley and his family was on the 1880 census there in Titus County. By 1900 the family had moved over into Caddo Parish Louisiana. Any help appreciated. Bobbie
