1860 Titus Co., TX, census (p.191B), William H. Perkins b. in Alabama, ca. 1830.
William's wife is listed only by her initials, L. R. (b. ca. 1840 in IL), and I believe she was a dau. of Evan W. Jones and Phebe Parmer (p.142B). William and L.R. had an unnamed son, age 9/12. He is William S. Perkins, and he and his aunt, Luella Jones (b. ca. 1852 in IL), were enumerated with Evan Jones' siblings in Hamilton Co., OH, in the 1870 census (where Evan was born).

William H. Perkins may or may not have enlisted during the Civil War,
possibly in Co. B, 18th TX Cavalry, or in Co. B, 22nd TX Cavalry.

In the "Indigent Families of Northeast Texas, compiled by Ron Brothers." <http://gen.1starnet.com/civilwar/indimain.htm>, is this listing for Titus Co. --
"Pirkens, William, Decd, 2 in the family, taken on 1 Feb 1865."
and this one -- "Jones, Unknown, 1 in the family, taken on 1 Feb 1865" that may or may not be Evan W. Jones as he is known to have served in the CSA even though he was in his late 60s at the time. And he had a minor child, Luella, b. ca. 1852.

Looking for any information on these families.
