Wilhite's in Titus Co TX were:

Buck, Frank and Perry Wilhite

In the 1930's, Buck Wilhite was Justice of the Peace in Mt. Pleasant.

Church Wilhite and his family came to Texas from Indiana in 1856. He was married to Mary Honey. Church had a grandson by the name of Perry Wilhite. Church Wilhite was born and raised in Indiana and wasn't a slave owner, so his sympathy was actually with the North, even though two of his boys, John and Jim Wilhite, went into the Conferderate Army. Church and Mary (Honey) Wilhite had seven (7) children: John, Jim, Lou, Lizzie, Joe, Bill and Millard. He and his wife are both buried at Wilhite Cemetery.

John Wilhite married Matilda Cochran and had six children: Church, Oscar, Ben, Florence, Lizzie and Henry, who was known as Buck Wilhite. Buck was JP in Mt. Pleasant. Buck had at least two sons: Charles and Allen.

Jim Wilhite married Ann Hargis, d/o Charlie Hargis and their children were: Allie, Josie, Harry, Bob, Mattie and Zeb.

Lou married Zeb Rutherford and their children were: John, Bill and Lizzie.

Lizzie Wilhite married George W. Keith and their children were: Joe, Etta, and Ollie. Etta married Ross Kirby and they had at least one son, John B. Kirby.

Joe and Bill never married.

Millard Wilhite married Virginia Hayes d/o Jesse Hayes and their children were: Myra, Perry, Worth, Seth, Grace and one other child that died young. Myra married Arthur Tigert and Grace married Jesse Tigert.

Perry Wilhite lived in Mt. Pleasant and was a druggist in Titus Co for nearly 50 years.

Does any of this data help you, Ruby? I am not researching any of these lines and have no further data to share.
