Martha Elizabeth Allen was indeed the dau of John William and Mariah Cluff (Scruggs) Allen. Her daughter by Mr.Alexander, Ann, I have never been able to trace in Texas. There are five Swans buried in Masonic Cemetery. The older one, Walter H., was born 1870,d. 1942, and a Mary M. Swan, b. 1870, d. 1926. If you think you descend from Martha Elizabeth, I have published a book on the Allen family which includes her. Dr. R. F. Wicker, Jr.
