W. M. S. Houghton, Titus Co.--1845-1860

I am seeking any info re my gggrandfather, William Michael Seneca Houghton, who lived in Titus County from about 1845 until about 1860. He was born in Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia on 27 March 1800.

He married Mary Mayo in Georgia, and they had two children: 1) my ggrandfather William Michael Houghton (1834-1879); and 2) Louisa Houghton (1837- ? ).

After the death of his first wife in 1839, he married Mary F. Doney in Georgia in 1840. they moved to Titus County, Texas, about 1845, residing in the Grey Rock community. In August 1859,he was elected to represent Titus County in the state legislature, where he served one term. At the time of the 1860 census, he was the enumerator for the Grey Rock area.

He fathered eight children by his second wife. After she died in Titus County in about 1860, he moved to Williamson County, Texas, where he married his third wife, fathered three more children, and died in 1868.

Any information about W. M. S. Houghton and his descendants would be appreciated.
