The following is extracted from "Throckmorton County History", by the Throckmorton County History Committee in 1984. It was submitted by Gay Hudson, a granddaughter.
Lillian Coon, the daughter of Lilly Miller and C.D. Coon was born in Emery, Texas, Raines County in the year 1900. Mr. Coon moved his family to Throckmorton County in 1906. Lillian attended the Mars Branch school in 1905 and 1907. The family later moved to Newcastle, Texas in Young County.
The story continues about Lillian's marriage to Thomas Jefferson Hudson.
