From "Throckmorton County History", published in 1984, in an article on T.J. Hurford, it mentions a Bill Hurford (1911-1971) who married Nita Gardner, who was born in Hasse, Comanche Co., TX. Her parents were Alma (born Purdon, Tx - 12-8-1894/11-13-1960) and Emma Atkinson Gardner (born Hasse, Comanche Co., TX 8-18-1892/10-14-1978). Alma's parents were Robert Gardner (1952-1904) and Julia Yarbrough (1862-1920).
Emma's parents were Albert Neal Atkinson (1840-1896) and Amanda Johnson (1847-1904)
The article says that Alma and Emma came to Woodson, Texas about 1916, so maybe the burial would be in Woodson or a close by cemetery.
The article was submitted by Billie Hurford Reedy.
