I got all that information here at the house spending less than an hour -
I have been doing this for over 25 years so I usually know where to look.

Let me see what I can find when I go to the library tomorrow - they have the books and real databases.

I can also tell you
William B. Samford [NOT Sanford] is buried in Eastland City Cemetery, Eastland Co., TX along with Mary Georgia Curtis Samford -

William B. Samford Nov 7, 1846 - Mar 5, 1926
Co E 10th VA CAV CSA
Mary Georgia Curtis Samford Nov 16, 1866 - Dec 7, 1947
Thomas J. Samford Mar 13, 1894 - Dec 31, 1963

William lived long enough to apply for a pension so that is helpful. You can send for his service record and pension files and find out a lot of neat things about his family that he wrote or swore to.

Will let you know,
Betty
