Betty, thank you so much for all the information. You have given me more information on my Spicer and Sanford relatives that I have been able to find ever. I am still fairly new at this though and am learning more and more as I work at genealogy research.
What I understand is that William Marvin Spicer is suppose to be the oldest, or at least an older child, of Rowan and Betty Spicer. I was told that my dad (also a Rowan Spicer) named his eldest daughter, my half sister, after both his Spicer grand parents. Her name is Betty Rowan Spicer. That is all the information I had on her until I reciently found her listed as the mother of Robert Allan Harrington born in Wichita Co., Tx and Rance Allan Obenchin born in Taylor Co., Tx. My father's younger sister, Lillie E. Spicer Dodson, told me in 1983 that Betty was killed in a car wreck about 5 years earlier so I had no way of contacting her to find any information.
How do I go about finding more information on my sister and my Spicer and Sanford relatives? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for all the time you have spent researching this for me and for all the info you have already given me. I have learned more about my father's side of the family from your one message than I had ever hoped to learn in years of searching. Thank you so much.
Sylvia Spicer Burns
