I checked our book - "Taylor Coutny Cemeteries" published about 1963- includes surveys done in 1962 for the following cemeteries:
Bluff Creek; Booker; Bradshaw; Buffalo Gap;Caps' Cedar Gap; Colony Hill; Cope; Rogers; Dewey; Drummond; Iberis; Lemon Gap; Little Elm; Mc Bee; Potosi; Seaton; Shep; Garden of Memories (Trennt); Tuscola; Tye and White Church.

Checked Taylor County Cemetery Records 1882-1960 Abilene

Checked Rose Hill Cemetery, Merkel 1884-1986

Could find nothing on your Clayton - which leads me to believe 1 of 3 things-
1. He is not buried in Taylor County
2. His grave is unmarked - no stone ligible
3. He is buried on a ranch somewhere - private property.

Hope it helps some,
Betty
