My ancestors lived in Taylor Co., jail

My ancestors lived in the Taylor County jail at Buffalo Gap after the county seat was moved to Abilene. Then the bottom of the jail was rented out and used for residence and they lived among the cells. Upstairs was a lodge hall. Young Henry Berry lived there with his first wife until she died in 1892. Then he married my grandma in Rector, AR and brought her back to live with his children and himself in the jail. Does anyone know of any historical records that mention my family living in that jail? I would appreciate hearing from you if know anything about this.
