From the "Abilene Reporter News" Wednesday, Oct 24,1984
The morning paper had her as Leuline- evening had her Lurline:

"Lurline Walker, 83, of 3142 S. Second St. who had owned and operated a motel here died at 10 p.m. Monday at her residence. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
The Rev. Bill Perkins, of Fair Park United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Born Dec. 6, 1900 in Navasota, she moved to Dallas with her parents and lived in that area until 1937 when she moved to Abilene. She owned and operated Lurline Motel. She also owned a tailor shop at Camp Barkley during World War II. In addition, she owned and operated a gift shop in her home for 20-25 years. She was a member of Fair Park United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a grandson, David Walker of 3142 Second; and a daughter Vella Irene Holder of Talihina, Okla; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Evelyn Tennison, Myrtle Richards and Geraldine Carnahan all of Dallas and Ione Rawson of California"
