There are eight Salyers buried in the Buffalo Gap Cemetery. They were prominent in Buffalo Gap for over a century, but I don't believe any members of this family are still living in Buffalo Gap. The Salyers buried in the Gap Cemetery are: Willie E. Salyers 1890- - 1987; William H. Salyers, 1860 - 1934; W. A. Salyers, 1884 - 1911; Sam D. Salyers, 1886 - 1952; Mary Salyers, 1864 - 1926; Marvin Lee Salyers, 1909 - 1077; Eliza Jane Boyd Salyers, 1895 - 1983; Clarence Edward Salyers, 1912 - 1912.
