My James A. Fisher was born in Westmoreland Co., PA, 3 Sep. 1893 (source: family records, WWI draft) but was moved as a child by his parents, Daniel and Emma BROWN FISHER to Kansas City, MO.
Both Daniel and Emma are buried in Mount Moriah Cemetery in southern Kansas City, MO.
As is James and his wife, Juanita.
But the SSDI ahs James's last residence as Fort Worth, Tarrant Co., TX.
Name: James Fisher
Last Residence: 76133 Fort Worth, Tarrant, Texas, United States of America
Born: 3 Sep 1893
Last Benefit: 76133 Fort Worth, Tarrant, Texas, United States of America
Died: Apr 1979
State (Year) SSN issued: Missouri (Before 1951 )
He and his wife and daughter Margaret were on the 1920, 1930, and 1940 censuses in Kansas City, MO, but on the 1940 his occupation was in the advertising area of Standard Oil. A visit or stay in Fort Worth would have been likely given this field. He is not listed in the TX Death Index.
Juanita died in 1964 (according to Find a Grave.
Does Fort Worth have City Directories that might tell me how long before 1979 James and his possibly his wife Juanita and perhaps their daughter, Margaret FISHER lived in Fort Worth?
Would someone have access and check for me> Not yearly, not addresses, but simply if they or he were in Fort Worth for an extended stay or if possibly James died there while on a trip. It's even possible Margaret married after 1940 census and lived in Fort Worth at that time. Seems a City Directory may be my only way to find Margaret especially and a way to explain why James was there but was buried "back home" in KC, MO.
