I am doing gen. research on my husbands side. I'm trying to find a death certificate on Almon Hare. aka Arthur Hare. Arthur is either a nickname or his middle name. Anyway, he & his son, Almon Junior Hare was traveling on vacation when the dad died in a car crash. The son(age 11 at the time) remembers seeing his dad on the morgue table with a toe tag. He was then sent home,by bus, to Iowa as his mom was still living. I believe they lived in Oskaloosa, Iowa. His mom died 6 months later. She is buried in Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa, Iowa. This car crash happened in Texas, I assume in Sutton County as the father was buried in Sonora Cemetery, Sonora, Texas. It is believed that he was buried in the "Potters" section. A section for the poor. If anyone can help me find info on this or the car accident itself, I would greatly appreciate it. I know so much about my families history, I would like my husband to know more about his. Thank you.
