These four family lines are found migrating together. I have Indian depradation claim that states the whereabouts of Martha Rebecca Peyton Johnson Roberts. She states she was born in Alabama and lists two people who could testify. She listed John R. Peyton (her brother) and Willis Griffin. She lived in Alabama in the 1830's (Morgan, Madison or Tuscalosa county). At age 16, she was in Pontotoc Co., MS; this places her there about 1840.MS States age 16 living in Pontatoc, Pontotoc Co., MS, for 6 yrs, Jess Philpat & Harvey Johnson witnessed. By 1850, she was married to Calvin J. Johnson and living in Hot Springs AR; a Thomas Johnson also lived with them who could be a possible brother.AR Hot Springs, Arkansas age 18 (ca b. 1832)S. Hale & Sumpter witness. Between 1850 and 1860, the family was in Brazos Co., for 10 yrs, C C Seals & Dr Mitchell Bryan witnessed In 1860 only Martha (now Martha Roberts) and her children were listed on Robertson Co., TX. The court records state she was living in Comanche Co., TX. near Sipe Springs for 2-4 yrs; Henry Williams & David White witnesses. They were living in Leon, Robertson Co., TX on the 1870 census. The records show them in Commanche Co. TX before the depradation in 1876; Callahan Co., TX abt 2 miles above Bair station at Hubbard Timbers verify H. French & George Berry, Dr. Frazier, John Jones. There was an article that stated she had lost two husbands, 2 sons and a daughter before 1880 where she was living in Callahan County TX. Sutton Co., age as 73 living 22 miles south of Sonora verify B. F. McDonald, John Odom, & C. E.Adams.
