Benjamin F. Woods bTN c1843 > TX 1880

I am attempting to identify the ancestry of the following individual who is enumerated on the 1900 Grayson County, Texas Census.

Page 180A (Precinct 2)
Benjamin F. Woods b.TN August 1843; both parents b. NC Farmer
Wife: Mary E. b.TX September 1856; Father b.FL, Mother b.UNK

Acccording to the 1900 census entry Benjamin and Mary never had children.

This appears to be the same Benjamin F. Woods who is enumerated on page 462 of the 1880 Stephens County (Breckenridge) TX Census as follows:

Woods, Ben F. age 33 Stone Mason b.TN; both parents b. NC
Mollie, age 21, Wife, b.TX; Father b.FL, Mother b.UNK
Jeff Mitchell, age 5, adopted son b.TX, both parents b.TX

Also on page 465 of the 1880 Stephens County (Breckenridge) Census is apparently Ben's brother who also adopted a Mitchell child:

Woods, William J. age 27, Stone Mason b.TN; both parents b. NC
Docia? (illegible), age 19, Wife, b.TX; Father b.MO, Mother b.MO
George Mitchell, age 12, adopted son b.TX, both parents b.TX

Thanks for any comments.
