The Death Roll
Funeral services for R. B. RICHARDSON were held at the family residence at Caddo yesterday, Thursday afternoon. Mr. Richardson died Wednesday night following a long illness. He was a member of one of Stephens County's pioneer families and was well and favorably known throughout the county. The deceased was 42 years old and is survived by his father, MATT RICHARDSON; and four daughters, Mrs. T. A. DOWNING, Mrs. Z. W. SUTPHEN, and Miss OVA RICHARSON, all of Caddo, and Mrs. OPELIA OAKLEY of Galveston.

J. F. GROSS, employee of the Texas Company, died in Breckenridge early Monday morning at a local hospital, and interment took place Tuesday afternoon in Eastside cemetery. Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon by Rev. E. HIGHTOWER. Mr. Gross was 33 years old and is survived by his widow; his mother, Mrs. S. A. HOWELL of San Antonio; two brothers, S. B. adn D. O. GROSS of McCamey; seven sisters, Mrs. S. W. PHILLIPS of Laneville, Mrs. O. L. SEARS of Laneville, Mrs. GUY PHILLIPS of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Mrs. B. D. MULLINS of McCamey, Mrs. C. T. POUNDS of Berger, Mrs. H. C. MCKINNEY of Dallas, Mrs. W. F. BATSON of McCamey. Mrs. Batson formerly lived in Breckenridge.

Husband and Father
The death of WILLIAM L. YATES, occurred at noon Monday at the family residence in Breckenridge, following a long illness. He was 70 years old and was critically ill for several days before death. Rev. A. H. CLARK conducted the funeral services at the Church of Christ on Tuesday morning. He was born in Mississippi in 1857 and is survived by his widow and the following sons and daughters, WILLIE YATES of Abbott, CHARLES YATES of Breckenridge, J. D. YATES of Breckenridge, Mrs. JENNIE DORMAN of Abbott, Mrs. STELLA HENRY of Breckenridge, Mrs. LYDIE TAYLOR of Dallas, Miss TEXIE YATES of Breckenridge, one brother and one sister.

Small Child Taken
WANDA JEAN, aged 6, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. HALFORD, residing at 203 East Second St., passed away Monday night after a short illness of diphtheria. Burial took place Tuesday afternoon.

Woodson Wife Dies
Mrs. JESSIE LAVALDA WILKES died Wednesday morning at a hospital in this ciyt and the remains were taken to Woodson for burial, which took place Thursday morning. Deceased was only 18 years old and wife of C. F. WILKES of Woodson. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents Mr. and Mrs. L. T. TAYLOR, three sisters and three brothers. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist Church at Woodson by Rev. O. E. FOWLER of Fort Worth.
