Looking for the family of Rafael Garza found in the Texas 1860 Census, living Rancho Los Garza near Rio Grande City, with his wife Rosalia Ruff and family. Marriage records from Bexar say they were married 18 August 1845. There are other Garza's on the same page in 1860. Who were the parents of Rafael? I'm sure Rancho Los Garza was part of a spanish land grant. Does anyone know whose? That might give me information as to who his parents and grandparents were. I'm sure Garza was shortened from De la Garza. Their daughter Faustina Garza married Florencio Alvarado of Rancho Santa Cruz near La Reforma/San Isidro. They are buried at San Jose Cemetary near there. Grateful for any information.
