On the 1870 census Sarah is at home with her family on the next page "Chapman" is with his family. They probably were married in Hood Co, TX.
I went to Rootsweb's WorldConnect site -- http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi -- I typed in Crites, Chapman and several people are working on this couple, none seem to have a date or location of death for here, either. You might contact some of them, compare information, see if it helps.
