I'm looking for information on Alexander H Barber, born in 1859 in Mississippi to Temperance Jones & Minty Barber. Minty died in the Civil War and Temperance married Thomas Jackson, born 1803 in South Carolina. Thomas must have died in Texas and Temperance returned to Itawamba County, Mississippi by 1900. Alexander "Alex" [Elic on one census]Barber married (probably second marriage)Leona Roden, born 1872 in Mississippi. Leona had 2 children from 1st marriage - Willie 1895 TX and Katie Roden 1893 TX. Alex had 1 child Whitfield - can't tell by census. Alex and Leona had Hattie B 1898 TX, Rosie 1900 TX, Grady 1907 TX, Clifford (daughter, but must be son) 1908 TX, and twins Floyd & Loyd 1909 TX - according to 1910 Smith County, TX census. But I cannot find Alex, Lenora, Floyd, & Loyd on the 1920 census. In 1920 Gregg County, Texas, census, I found maybe Willis Roden with Hattie, Rosa, Grady, & Clifford Barber. What happened to Alex, Lenora, Floyd & Loyd? Did they die in the 1918 flu epidemic? Thanks for helping me. I'm researching for my aunt in Itawamba County, MS. Phyllis
