Tyler HS building early/mid 1900s/W.T. Adams

I am seeking information about the history and ending of the Tyler High School that was build in the early 1900s and was destroyed, I think, in the 1960s. I understand that the cornerstone had the name W. T. Adams, the head of the schools at the time and my grandfather, on it. I would like to know any information about this cornerstone, a picture, where it is, etc. Tom Adams tom@tomtexas.com
