I have not followed up on the other Tuckers in Hopkins County yet. Daniel is well within reason if following family names. I know Stephen went from Hopkins County to Smith County - Winona then Starrville. I have heard that there is a pretty good genealogy group in Sulphur Springs, but have not been able to get down there to check out the resources. My mom said that Stephen owned some type of store when he was in Hopkins County. I found that he had a sawmill outside of Starrville and found an article in the Galveston paper from 1873 where he was purchasing equipment for a foundry. His oldest son via 1st wife Lydia, William Lee mave have been born in Hopkins Co. I did follow up on some of the children. It looks like William Lee married Mary Lou McCorkle d/o Dr. J.H. McCorkle and then her brother Dr. J.H. McCorkle (son) married Emily Browder. J.H. McCorkle was listed in the same household on the census in 1880 and he married in 1883. I have traced some of William Lee's grandchildren to the dallas area - Sallie Tucker Lincecum, Harold and Charles R.Tucker. Still hoping to hook up with living relatives at some point to maybe fill in the gaps.
