Many interesting things are being planned. One of them will be a trip to the original log cabin that was built by James Coltharp / Joanna McSpadden near Edom in 1849. The log part of the house is still standing today and is such a neat thing to see. The last big family meeting that was held there was about 1965 when a Texas Medallion was awarded to it.

You also don't want to miss out on hearing about the collection of Coltharp letters and documents that were found a few years ago and how that came about. It's a miracle that the 750 + pieces of records from the 1830's to 1870's were preserved and found in such wonderful condition.

If you have a connection or interest in any of the connected lines to our family, please join us so that we can all share our information. Hope to see you there!
