Hi Harold, As with any of the new and improved Ancestry com databases you usually have spend some major time with your highest quality brainstorming cap on to figure out how their typists misspelled or miss-entered a record. I am convinced they no longer hire typists who can read or write or else they all work blindfolded. As 31 year researcher and an 8 year suscriber to AC, I am totally serious about this conclusion and angrier than I could ever ever express. As you know, the state of TX did not require deaths to be registered with the state until 1903 but many counties did not comply until the 1920's and later. However, almost all counties kept death records long before and after 1903. That means you might just find John Whitten's death record in Shelby County. Got my fingers crossed for you, Kathye Notify Administrator about this message?
