This is the only Tate in my family tree. Clay Tate was married to Susan M. with children named Ja???? H. and Mary A.. Mary A. was my ggUncles wife. Look in the 1880 Shackelford Co. Tx Census for Clay Tate. I only came across the name by accident. Mary A. married William Newton Green in the late 1800s abt 1894. They were in the 1880 census for Duke township Jackson Co. Okla. They had 4 children Flora, Clarence, Willie, and Ethel. They were married in Shackelford Co. Tx. I know nothing special except my family came from Va.-Ga.-Ala.-Tx.-Okla. I am researching the Green Family. Jerry Green
