I have just learned that a S. J. King was married to M. A. Hollis in Shackelford County in 1894 ( Shackelford County Marriage Records).> I do have at least some of John D Hollis's family living in Shackelford County in early 1890's.
Artimitcia( Artaniacia) Hollis married Jesse Alexander Pate in Shackelford County on January 23, 1890. Her niece, Ruby Lily Pate,( daughter of Lou Emma Hollis and George W. Pate- brother of Jesse Alexander Pate) and wife of Grover Cleveland are buried in Albany Cemetery, Shackelford County, Texas.
Will greatly appreciate help with any of these families.
