I encourage you to look at the original, as it always has more info than the index info. The actual image puts her born in San Saba.

Have you checked old newspapers for the area? There might be a reference if she was truly abandoned. Also, could there have been and legal or church records? Any possibility that she was a family member that they took in? That happened a great deal, especially when the mother died; men didn't raise small children by themselves very much.
