Missy, I think I have a handle on this now. Let me know if this is the same as your records. Your line goes from William Thomas "Tom" Harrington who was a brother of "Ned" Harrington. Tom and Ned's wives were first cousins. Their mothers were sisters. Ned's wife, Emeline Melissa Wood was the daughter of Emeline Melissa Hamrick (wife of Henry Wood). Tom Harrington's wife was Lena Rivers Jones who was the daughter of Mary Ann "Polly" Hamrick (wife of Bert Jones). Emeline Melissa Hamrick and Mary Ann "Polly" Hamrick were sisters and daughters of Thomas P.C. Hamrick and his wife, Frances Amanda Barnett. So, Thomas P.C. Hamrick and his wife, Frances Amanda Barnett are our common ancestors. I have done a lot of research on the Barnett line, tracing it back to the 1790 census in Spartanburg, South Carolina and then tracing the family through Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi and on to Texas. I have some information regarding the descendants of Ned Harrington, who is brother to your Tom. The Ned Harrington family stayed around the Dallas County area, but might be able to help you with your Harrington ancestors. I will try to get in touch with a member of this family. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks for your help and maybe together we can fill in some blanks. Your cousin, Joyce.
