I am looking for more information about John Samuel May (b:August 29, 1839- October 8, 1915). He died SOMEWHERE in San Saba County. I haven't been to the courthouse yet but we have been to most of the cemetaries around here. His son (Vernon Allen May b:1901 d:1963) and grandson (Allen Winfrey May b:1925 d:1964) are buried in the Hanna Cemetary over in Cherokee but no sign of John Samuel May anywhere. He was a Confederate veteran who served with Co. C, 56th Regiment, Virginia and was born in Louisa Co., VA. He married Frances Lee Newcomb September 2, 1879 in Burleson Co., TX. She was born April 27th 1859 and died November 8th 1920. We want to know more about where (and how) they lived and where they're buried. My husband is John Samuel May's great grandson.

Thank you,
Suzette May
