I am a friend of Susan Bishop, daughter of Maximilian Bishop. Maximilian is from Texas and Arkansas. He is the son of Walter Lee Bishop born in Arkansas. Walter was the son of Joseph W. Bishop born in TN. Joseph was the son of John and America Bishop, married in TN. John's mother was from Scotland and took Joseph back to Scotland at the beginning of the Civil War. America Bishop was a native american. Some say that she was a cherokee indian and some say that she was a seminole indian however per my information she was a seminole princess, my cousin Mike Johnson says she was a cherokee. The Hightower murder was passed down to me by my father Max Bishop. However I was never told who actually did the murder. But I was told it was self defense over a woman not murder. And that the killing was done by a woman. A woman that was a Hightower. Also one of Joseph's brothers was hung in Chicago because he was a member of a confederate spy group that went into hiding after the civil war. The reason why he got caught is because he fell in love with a woman. This woman stated that her father could help him.
