Mary!!!! Hope you are still there!!!! My gg grandfather was....Prince Albert Smith--the very one you are talking about. He lived in Dale co, AL and moved first to Montgomery Co, TX and then to San Augustine Co, TX. I always wondered what in the world he was doing in San Augustine County! A nursery, of all things!

Okay, you're the first person I've come across looking for him. I didn't know he had a cousin named Edmond Smith. Prince Albert Smith was born 1846 in AL, Dale county, I assume. On his death certificate parents are Jno Smith and Matilda Willis. Found their marriage record 1830 Leon Co, Florida of John D Smith to Matilda Willis. Okay, do you have Edmond's parents?
