Hi, I am directly descended from Willis Conner who was shamfully killed along with his grandson by the Rangers. The account in the Texas Rangers' book is only one side of the story and is not completely accurate. The Conner's were descended from the Beverly's of Virginia and England. There is a manuscript written by a man (now deceased) who had no family connections with the Smiths, Lows or Conners, that describes the event fairly and more accurately. My cousin is currently editing the manuscript and I hope it will be published. Since my cousin is in his 70's, if he is unable to complete the edit, I hope to beable to complete the edit.
