A cousin recently found a program for "Exercises of Milam Academy for the evenings of August 26&27,1880". This was a program of Music,Skits,Speeches and Debates. The only participents named were Charles T Cobb, R.B.Boyd, John S. Goodrich, Jr., R.E. and Holmes Harris, and I.D. King, all of Sabine County. We would love to learn more about this Academy. I have never run across anything on it in many years of Sabine County research. Would love to hear from anyone who can shed some light on this.
