Where are these places in early East Texas, please?

By about 1821, a relative of mine came to East Texas which at that time was part of the Mexican Nacogdoches area, but is in the Sabine or San Augustine cos. vicinity today.

This is the description of the area which included the place of Robert Callier/Collier/Caller/Colyer (later owned by John S. Roberts who married Callier's widow, Harriet Fenley Callier) taken from several documents of the time. I would like to pinpoint, as close as possible, where this might have been since I live in East Texas and would like to locate the general area where these places were.

One document says that his property was on the Palo Gaucho. Another official document says he was murdered at home in Sept. 1826, on the "Arroyo Numerado" (Numbered Creek?) of the Boregas.

Any ideas of approximately where this might be will be greatly appreciated. I know that it is somewhere fairly near Milam.

Thanks,

Sue Moore
