Searching for any descendants of JOSHUA Watson residing in Jefferson Co. GA (1820 Census)(GA Will dated 1827). Joshua's son, MICHAEL Watson (b. 1798 GA) married Pency Raiford, 1819, Jefferson Co. GA and moved to Sabine Co. TX 1836, rearing their family near Hemphill, Sabine Co. Their children: Thomas B. Watson, Katherine J. Watson, Joshua H. Watson, Arthur C. Watson, Michael R. Watson, Jacob Moore Watson (all born in Georgia, all grew up in Hemphill), and possibly James Hobbit Watson, born in SC. Their son JOSHUA H. Watson (1828-1866) married and moved to Leon/Freestone Co. TX, but his son RICHARD T. Watson (1863-1920?) returned to Sabine Co., married and reared his family in Sabine Co., also. Known children of Richard T. Watson and wife Tommie (unknown)were Mary, b.1883; Clifford Joshua, b.1887; Myrta B., b.1890; Russell O., b.1898; Mildred A., b.abt 1902. I wish to correspond with any who know of this family.
