This question was posted a decade ago but perhaps this information will still be useful to someone. I have been researching Elizabeth Jones Gillaher, who was my 3rd great grandmother. She married Andrew Gillaher in 1843 in Rusk county Texas, but married Francis Rose only 4 years later in 1947 in nearby Cherokee county. I have found no evidence of children born to the Gillaher marriage but she had at least 3 children with Francis Rose, one of whom was my second great grandfather, George W. Rose. In 1856 she married her third husband, Enoch Holdaway, also in Cherokee county, and had at least 6 children with him. In the 1880 census, Enoch is listed as widowed, but I have not been able to find documentation of Elizabeth's death. I have not been able to find information on Andrew Gillaher's death or Francis Rose's death, so it remains unclear as to what exactly happened to Andrew Gillaher.
