I'm searching for any info on a Wesley A Stone who was age 17 when he enlisted into CSA while a resident of Rusk Co, TX in Sep 1861. I have found one Wesley A. Stone who served in TX 7th Inf, another of same name in TN 7th Inf, perhaps only one person. I find no record of TX 7th Inf in the Civil War, and the TN soldier of that name served in ANV under Lee and Stonewall Jackson. I also find a Wesley A. Stone on 1870 census of Kaufman Co, TX but not on its 1880 census. I have family ancestors linked to Francis "Frank" Stone who owned a 6000 acre ranch in Kaufman Co from about 1840. If Rusk Co and Kaufman near each other, or anyone knows of a link between the Stone folks of TN and TX sure like to exchange data.
