I have a Joseph Alexander Hamilton Welch. He was born in 1844, place unknown. He died 1928 in Rusk County, TX. He is buried in the Zion Hill Cemetery near Brachfield, TX. This Joseph was a member of Co. H, 19th Texas Volunteer Infantry. It could be he joined Co. F, 17th Texas Cavalry and was later transfered to 19th Texas Infantry. That happened often. Could this be your Joseph?
