I am looking for the parents of Lucinda Willis who married my gr gr grandfather John William Windle in Henderson TX on August 13th, 1847. She was born in TN in 1830 and had a brother Charles who was also born in TN in 1827. She moved with John William Windle to Fannin Co. TX. between 1850 and 1860 and settled on land that was granted to John William's father John A. Windle. She may be of mixed blood Anglo and Native American as her John William was. She was granted a widow's penison in 1892 for John William's sevice in the Mexican War. John William was killed just outside of Henderson TX, Rusk Co. Oct. 29th, 1867 returning to Fannin Co.
