I'm seeking info about R.W. OLIVER Jr. who appears on the 1860 Census - Beat 1, Rusk, TX.
father: RW Oliver b. 1817 VA
son: RW Oliver b. 1844 TN
other names on census in the household:
JA b. 1834
EH b. 1842
Elizabeth b. 1845
Sarah J. b. 1847
??Martha?? b. 1849
John A. b. 1859
??Frances?? b. 1851
Dolly JONES b. 1795 VA
Robert Calley b. 1780 Ireland
RW, the father, I believe appears on the 1870 (as Reuben W.) and 1880 as well.
I cannot find the younger RW on any other census. The closest is a RW Oliver b. 1847 TN (instead of 1844) on the Saline, Dorsey, Arkansas census of 1880.
I also found a record of a R.W. OLIVER, member of the 3rd Texas Texas Regiment, Company B., who was killed in Iuka, Miss September 19, 1862.
I'm trying to find out what happened to R.W. Oliver Jr; if he is the same R.W. Oliver who was killed in 1862 or not, etc.
