I was unable to find these folks listed in a cemetery but I did find Leonard listed in the 1850 Mortality Schedule. He died in August 1849. I also found a note about his heirs and his land in District 2. However, I didn't find any land for him. I don't want to send you on a wild goose chase but JOHN Tomlinson had land grants in Abstracts 776 and 777 which are located near Tatum. The 1850 Census just says Rusk District, so it was no help either.

Mary was only 40 when Leonard died and she had young children; in all probability, she remarried.
