FUNERAL FOR W.R. GLASSCOCK ON WEDNESDAY
Funeral services for William Robert Glasscock, 83, were held Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 19, at 3 o'clock, in the Concord Baptist Church, with the Rev. S.R. Malone of New Boston, the Rev. Charles Danheim, Methodist minister of Mt. Enterprise, and the Rev. Willard Parker, Baptist minister, officiating. Interment was in the Concord Cemetery.
Mr. Glasscock died Tuesday night, Nov. 18, at 7:44 o'clock at his residence near Mt. Enterprise.
He was born Nov. 3, 1869, in Nacogdoches County, the son of Jim and Mary Jane Aiken Glasscock, and was married to Carrie Jeanette Glasscock, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Glasscock was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. John Moody of Mt. Enterprise, Miss Clyde Glasscock of Houston and Mrs. Ruth Hines of Houston; two sons, A.E. Glasscock of Henderson and M.B. Glasscock of Houston; one sister, Mrs. Nannie Phillips of Appleby; one brother, Sam Glasscock of Longview; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Eddie Strong, Vernon Lee, Lawson Farris, Henry Farris, James Taylor, Vertis Moody, Jack Moody and Hollis Farris.
Cason Monk and Company Funeral Home of Nacogdoches was in charge of arrangements.
