I am looking for descendants of these two brothers, and/or any of their siblings. I have a letter from 1948 indicating that one or both of them were living in Rusk County at that time. I descend from a third brother, Alexander M. Miller, who was my grandfather. I've located alot of the rest of the family and would like to complete these Branches. Their parents were Andrew Jackson Miller (called Jack) and Nannie Russell Miller who came to Texas in 1855. If anything here seems familiar, please contact me.
       i.       ELIZA F. MILLER, b. October 11, 1860, Liberty Hill, Texas; d. April 4, 1936 in Austin, Travis County, Texas; m. CHARLES T. HALL, April 17, 1884, Williamson County, Round Rock, Texas. They had two girls, Lottie Hall Hammond and Emma Leta Hall Stephens.
ii.       MARY "MOLLIE" MATTIE MILLER, b. March 24, 1862, Liberty Hill, Texas; d. Bef. 1926, Texas; m. CASS SASELL BAKER, 1880, Williamson County, Liberty Hill Twp., Texas; b. June 13, 1853, Tennessee; d. Texas.
The names of the boys are set forth in Nancy J. "Nannie" Russell Miller's Obituary in 1926 as being her pallbearers are John Oakley Baker, J.C., Arthur & Charles. Mollie is mentioned as having predeceased her mother.

iii.       JAMES DECATUR "DICK" MILLER, b. November 01, 1864, Liberty Hill, Williamson County, Texas; d. Henderson, Rusk County, Texas; m. MOLLIE (?) MILLER; d. October 01, 1955, Henderson, Rusk County, Texas.

January 2, 1948 Return address: 309 Boren Street, Henderson, Texas
Note: I am not sure just WHO this Aunt Mollie was married to. The only thing on the outside of the envelope is the address. no name. Either Bill or Dick was married to a Mollie, and I am not sure which. Solely because of her reference in her letter of Perle and Urie giving her and "Dick" the house, I am attaching this letter to James Decatur's Notes. For clarity purposes I have grouped the information throughout the letter with each subject person.

AUNT Mollie has two great grandchildren: 1 *boy and 1 **girl and 7 grandchildren.
Perle and Urie bought "this" 4 room house and gave it to "me and Dick". {{Is she referring to James Decatur "Dick"?? or is she living with a son, Dick?? I doubt that they would have bought a house for a brother. A four room house back then could have been 2 bedrooms, kitchen (eat-in), and a living room)

PERLE (Female) She is 48 (1899) Single Lives in Henderson, Tx and co-owns home with LEONA and BILLIE JUNE. Perle was in the service first stationed in Washington first and then transferred to Columbus, Ohio, then the O.P.A. in Dallas, TX

LEONA has two girls: WEYMA JIM is married and lives across the street from Aunt Mollie.
BILLIE JUNE is 15 years old and the youngest of 7 grandchildren.

DICK Single Lives in Henderson, TX He is 50 (1897)

GRACE has only one child, a girl who has a baby *boy. Grace and husband still live in Nacogdoches, own a dry goods store but not their own home.

URIE has two sons (both in the Pacific; one on an LST; one is a Pilot of a "Hell Diver" bomber)
His oldest son has a little **girl. Urie and his boys all live in Abilene, Texas

JOE also in the Pacific 1st on a Dutch transport ship, then transferred to a ship in the central or northern Pacific, then transferred to shore duty and taught in the Marine Officers School. Married in Alameda, California where he taught the school. Has a little girl one year old. Have started a "younger set"-{{second marriage?}} Lives in Goose Creek, TX and owns his home.

CHARLEY has a baby boy one year old. Have started a "younger set" {{second marriage??}} Lives in Goose Creek, Texas and owns his home.

JOHN has two girls, his oldest SHERLIE is married. John and family live in Dallas as does Sherlie. Owns his own home. Sherlie rents.

EMMA LETAH wrote that Alex's cousin, JOHN who still lived in Liberty Hill, TX, his wife and oldest son were all dead. John's other three children were WARREN, BETH and MINNIE. Minnie burned to death at age 58 (three weeks ago last Sunday - which would have been December 14, 1947) Her clothes caught fire from the fire place "it seems there was no one at home but she and Beth". Emma Leta sent Mollie a newsclipping that said all three of those chidren were old maids and batchelors. Carol (Carl?) was the oldest (she says: "I suppose is dead as HE wasn't mentioned in the clipping")

iv.       KATEY BELLE "DELLA" MILLER, b. March 26, 1867, Liberty Hill, Williamson County, Texas; d. Abt. 1957, Taft or Henderson, Texas; m. JOHN A. SUTTON. Had one daughter that we know of: Gladys Sutton Craig.

The 1880 Williamson County Texas Federal Census lists her full name as Katey B. Miller. I assume the "B" was for Belle as her family as all our family correspondence referred to her as Belle but mostly "Della".

Residence: 1926, Indianapolis, Indiana

       v.       WILLIAM W. MILLER, b. October 13, 1869; d. Putnam, Texas.

Uncle Bill was married to a woman whose first name was Mollie. None of the family knows her maiden name. A picture of Uncle Bill and Aunt Mollie exists and is dated March, 1963 however, he would have been almost 93 years old then and since he certainly isn't that old in the picture, it must be a reprint.
A very old picture of Uncle Bill and Aunt Mollie that looks like the late 1890's exists and is in the possession of descendant, Pat Wynn.

vi.       ALEXANDER MINOR MILLER, b. September 18, 1872, Liberty Hill, Texas; d. March 04, 1939, University Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa; m. LINNIE ELIZABETH NICHOLS, November 03, 1897, Ozark, Franklin County, Arkansas; b. February 29, 1876, Altus, Franklin County, Arkansas; d. March 30, 1966, Fort Madison, Iowa.
