The information on Wiley McAlllister Bullard came to me through Louise Tavor. The information she gave me came in a 1976 letter from Hazel Wilson, a granddaughter. Louise also said she had extracted a wedding announcement for Susan’s first marriage to Thomas B. Clements – the wedding was held in the home of her father, John Holley, 5 Sep 1859 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. They had one son, John Clements born in 1860.
Susan’s marriage to Wiley took place 29 Oct 1869 in Mt. Enterprise, Rusk county, Texas. Their children were listed in the letter with the following spelling:
Tivey Se Bell 1872-1948
Martha Martelia 1874-1952
Susan Lu Eler 1876-1881
Willey Emer 1877-1896
Lora Eter 1880-1949
Malinda M 1881-1964
Lilly Pairedine 1884-1902
Martha is the only one I have further information on – she married her first cousin, Frank Holley (22 March 1869 -16 Jul 1953) son of Richard Holley and Charleenly Gage, who married 18 Feb 1868 also in Mt. Enterprise.
I descend from Susan and Richard’s eldest brother, Sion Holley – I believe their father, John, is the son of Sion Holly and Jane Morris of Anderson county, South Carolina. Their children, from their wills, were:
John – married Elizabeth
Rhoda – married John Robinson
Jane – married Caleb Robinson
Elizabeth – married Arthur Johns
Looking forward to hearing from you.
