There was a Eugene MAYO in Rusk Co TX who was born in Grosbeck TX in 1898, m Lillian B Miller in 1924 and had four children.
Other Mayo's mentioned were Valentine Mayo who lived in Massachusetts and Virginia and died in 1716; James Mayo b 1711 lived in VA and died 1776. Stephen Mayo b 1757, d 1847; Benjamin Franklin Mayo b 1787 in VA moved to Warren Co TN. Thomas M Mayo b 1822 in Warren Co TN.
Benjamin Franklin Mayo moved to TX with his parents in 1880 and died in 1954; Eugene Mayo b 1898 married Lillian and they had four children: Eugene Mayo, Jr., who married Margaret Sutton and they had three children.
There were some Mayo's in my Wilcox line, the reason I came across this, or showed some interest in it. This is not of my line, however, and I have no further data to share, but perhaps you see some worthwhile data in what I have posted.
