Terry,

Thanks for your response! Our families must have known each other. Please tell me something about your folks, names, occupations, etc. How long did they stay in Crews?

My grandfather, J. W. Rainwater, married my grandmother in 1903. He had a store in Crews from about that time until he moved his family to Fort Worth in 1918. He was postmaster from 1910 to 1915. I think the Montgomerys came just after the 1900 Census was taken. Arthur Wilkerson, my mother's uncle by marriage, was postmaster after my granddad.

I will email you as well about these folks. Look forward to hearing from you.
