Concerning your message about German POW's in Runnels County, Texas. I do not have any information about the Winters, TX recapture. Do you know the names of these POW's?

According to our Lange Family stories a German POW that escaped from Camp Barkley, was recaptured near U.S. 83 about 9 miles south of Ballinger, TX at the intersection of the F.M. road that goes to Rowena, TX. Apparently he knew he had relatives in this area and was trying to find them, which he nearly accomplished before recapture. I would like to learn more about him. I do not know if his last name was Lange. It would be interesting to learn more about this man and know what happened to him.
