I believe he was born in TN, but he served in the Civil War from Bienville parish, LA. He was married and his wife was from AR, she had twins, and died. The babies went to AR to live with her mother. He remarried a widow, Mary Jane Luce Allen. This is what we were told by his daughter, Grandmother Laura Jane Low. I have my great grandmother, Mary Jane Luce Allen Low's, Confederate Widow's Pension, which tells of his service from Bienville parish. We were told his mother-in-law put his name on the AR Census, when he did not live there, and listed him as being born in AR, when he was born in TN. I don't know what year that was. I believe this is the same family you are researching.
