The church located at West Boone Prairie was built in the late 1800's I believe. I have always been told my great grandfather, John Isaac Milner, helped build it. Also, I was told that it used to be located across the road, next to the cemetary, but after a tornado hit it, the lumber was re-used, and the church was rebuilt across the road.
Does anyone out there have information on this church? It is very sad, as it is falling down, and probably wont be around much longer. Each year, at the "cemetary workin" we see that it has crumbled even more.
I would like to know who built it for sure, when it was originally built, when it was rebuilt....I also have a photo of my great grandfather and several other men posing in front of it, and was told it was perhaps for a mason's meeting....Any info in that is greatly appreciated too. Please post here, and/or email me.
